Hyatt Place, a moderate-price hotel brand introduced in 2007 that Hyatt is planning to greatly expand in the next few years as the corporate hotel family branches out into the moderate-priced hotels to compete with Starwood's Four Points, Marriott Courtyard, Holiday Inn, and Hilton Garden Inn.

This is how Hyatt describes Hyatt Place hotels.

"We are pleased to introduce Hyatt Place, a new kind of hotel that puts style, innovation and The Hyatt Touch® within everyone's reach. Our guests will enjoy a spacious guestroom with a 42" flat-panel HDTV, our signature Hyatt Grand Bed™, a plush Cozy Corner oversized sofa-sleeper that is separated from the sleeping area, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi internet access throughout the hotel.

Guests at Hyatt Place may purchase signature hot breakfast entrées along with Starbucks® specialty coffees or enjoy a free continental breakfast. Hyatt Place also offers a variety of freshly prepared, café quality items, including made-to-order entrées, sandwiches, soups, salads and pizza which guests can order 24 hours a day, seven days a week via a touch screen menu in the Guest Kitchen or from the Gallery Host."

Hyatt Place, Fremont, California

Hyatt Summerfield Suites

Extended stay hotels are increasing in popularity, to a large degree to accomodate business travelers on long assignments, but also a growth market has emerged as parents want to travel with children and need a larger room space and the ability to make meals.  Summerfield Suites rooms are basically a small one-bedroom apartment.  Some properties may have studios or two bedroom suites.

"Hyatt is reinventing the all-suites hotel with new design and amenities more in step with today’s travelers. You’ll find free high-speed Internet, complimentary full breakfast and Evening Reception, plus the convenience of a full kitchen and the comfort of the Hyatt Grand Bed™. And with Hyatt Gold Passport®, every stay can be more rewarding. If you enjoy getting more than you expected, make your reservation today."

ANdAZ - Hyatt's newest hotel brand

According to corporate reports in 2008, Hyatt planned major investment and growth in this brand to possibly make it their largest brand by number of hotels.  I read 500 hotels were planned by 2012. That was then and this is now the hotel economic reality of 2009. There are currently only two Andaz Hotels open in London and Hollywood.
